EXOPA CEOs Docket "Missing"

An Accra Fast Track High Court has adjourned to tomorrow, the case involving top Ghanaian model and CEO of EXOPA Modeling Agency, Sima Ibrahim, who has been charged in connection with drug related offences. The Presiding Judge, Charles Quist, deferred siting since no docket on the case was brought to his attention. Kwame Akufo and James Agalga are representing the EXOPA CEO. Sima, who was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport last Monday, for allege drug trafficking, was making his maiden court appearance today. Looking rather resplendent in a pair of black jeans over a brown pullover, the EXOPA CEO, had no option than to herd back to his new found home at the NACOB cells. According to Eugene Osafo-Nkansah of PEACEFM, who was present during court proceedings, quite a number of models from Simas modeling agency were at the court-house to shore up support for their embattled CEO. After Simas arrest last Monday, two charges relating to the possession of narcotic drugs, were preferred against him. He has been charged with attempting to export unlawful substance, and in possession of unlawful substance. It would be recalled that one of Simas counsel, Kwame Akufo, had cause to complain about the treatment being meted to his client, and even had a shouting match with the acting NACOB Boss, Akrasi Sarpong, over interrogation procedures. Lawyer Akufo also expressed worry about the fact that his client was not put before court, even after the expiration of the 48 hours for holding suspects, as mandated by law.
