Daniel Amartey delighted with Leicester City move

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey is delighted to join English Club Leicester City.

Amartey was officially unveiled by the Club on Friday after signing a four and a half deal with the English outfit.

The 21-year-old who becomes the second signing for the Club in the January transfer window has expressed his excitement to join the Premiership side.

“It’s a great pleasure to join Leicester City. I know the Club have been interested in signing me for some time and that was a big part of my decision to come here.

“All over Europe, people are talking about Leicester City and how well the Club is doing in the Premier League. The team plays exciting, attacking football and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”

The player will be in the stands when Leicester City takes on Stoke City in a League match on Saturday.

The defender joins countrymen Jeffrey Schlupp and Joe Dodoo at the English Club.

His arrival means Ghana’s contingent in the most watched League has been increased to six.
