I Shall Retire Sorogho This Year - Boniface Declares

Parliamentary candidate of the Madina constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boniface Abubakar Saddique, has assured his constituents that he is doing everything possible to snatch  the seat from his opponent, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho, and  thus urged party foot soldiers in the area to  totally commit themselves to the victory agenda and the strategies outlined for victory.

According to Alhaji Boniface Abubakar, the strategy requires that the party foot soldiers widen the scope of their house to house campaigns and reach out to a large number of disgruntled and disappointed members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency to help widen the vote margin in favor of the NPP for both the presidential and the parliamentary election.

Alhaji Abubakre made this known when he embarked on a house to house campaign in communities like Danfa , Addo Teiman, La Nkwantanan, and  Madina Social Welfare with some party grassroot’ members.

He said, though the Madina constituency has never been won by the NPP since the restoration of multi-party democracy in 1992, he is of the firm belief that with the current level of unity prevailing amongst members, delegates and executives of the party, coupled with his strong message and vision of what Madina can be under an Akufo-Addo led NPP government, he is convinced the electorate in the constituency will vote for him to become its Member of Parliament in 2016.

He noted that the assertion by Amadu Sorogho  that he needs another chance  to correct the wrongs he has made should be totally ignored since he has had three consecutive chances to serve as a member of parliament for the area but  failed to make any positive impart due to incompetence, ignorance  and mismanagement.

If he has failed to use 12 years to bring development to Madina what can he do with four years.

“His time is up and we must retire him. I am aware of all the manipulations and machinations he engages in before and during elections in the constituency and we will stop him one time”. He said

He said the stealing of votes, exchange of ballot boxes and papers in the constituency will stop this year. “His own people have ignored him because of his character and we will join forces to retire him this year”. He added

He said “We will win Madina, Insha Allah. I want to assure Nana Akufo-Addo, Ghana’s President-in-waiting, that his vote share in Madina will increase. Akufo-Addo will win in Madina, Boniface will also win in Madina”
