NLA Extends Helping Hand To Dabala SHTS...Donates Office Equipment Worth Nearly Ghc 14,000

The National Lottery Authority has donated office equipment worth Thirteen thousand, four hundred and forty Ghana cedis (Ghs 13,440.00) to the Dabala Senior High Technical School (DASTECH) in the Volta Region.

The equipment comprised a Digital Risograph Machine, a Cannon Photocopier, two uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) units and a Digital Printer.

Headmaster of the Dabala Senior High Technical School, Mr. Addae Kornutse said until now the school had never owned a photocopier machine or a printer in its twenty five years of existence and previously had to print its examination papers in town and at the Sogakope Senior High School.

He expressed profound gratitude to management of NLA for the gesture and called on other organizations to assist the school as it lacks infrastructure and logistics.

He also thanked the board chairman of NLA, Ambassador Oscar Ameyedowu for his continuous support to the school.

General Manager, Security and Special Projects of NLA, Lt. Col. Yaw Dzotofe-Mensah (Rtd) said NLA was touched by the plight of the school and thus responded to the request for the office equipment. The donation forms part of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility. He also urged the students to be studious and put the equipment to good use.

The Dabala Senior High Technical School in the South Tongu district of the Volta region was established in 1991 as a community based school and currently operates a boarding house with about 200 students.

The school has a student population of Six hundred and fifty and Fifty five teaching staff.
