Christian Atsu undergoes medical test after suffering hamstring injury

Malaga attacker Christian Atsu has undergone a medical test after suffering an injury in his side’s 3-0 win over Getafe last Friday.
 
The Ghanaian international was pulled out of the game in the 46thby his manager Javi Gracia who did not want to take chances after the player had complained of feeling pains in his leg.

Atsu is said to have suffered a hamstring injury in the rectus femoris of the quadriceps in his right leg which forced his manager to take him out after just 45 minutes on the pitch.

The player on Monday underwent a test at the health complex Clinics Rincon -La Rosaleda to know the extent of the injury.

“On the other hand , Christian Atsu  was replaced last Friday in the Malaga- Getafe game after feeling physical discomfort.,” a statement on the official website of the Club read.

“He has undergone medical tests today at the health complex Clinics Rincon -La Rosaleda.

“The Ghanaian suffered a hamstring injury in the rectus femoris of the quadriceps in his right leg , pending developments ahead of its availability in the upcoming matches.

The 24-year-old will be hoping to recover on time for Malaga’s League fixture against Villarreal on Saturday.

Atsu’s loan spell at Bournemouth was ruined by injuries which forced him to return to his parent Club Chelsea.
