How Does J.B Danquah's Murder Play A Role In NPP's Victory?

General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) Atik Mohammed has cautioned some functionaries within the New Patriotic Party to be wary of their utterances regarding the murder of Hon. Joseph Boakye Danquah.

Hon. J.B Danquah, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, was murdered in his house on Tuesday morning when some assailants crept into the house.

Since news broke about the orchestrations behind the murder of the late MP, some NPP members are reportedly quoted to insinuate that the MP's demise will advance the fortunes of the party.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Atik Mohammed expressed utter disgust at such remarks, wondering why the NPP would champion their election victory on the demise of a human being.

He questioned the logic in such statements, asking "how does it push you to win? Somebody sits in his house and then a criminal enters in to painfully murder him, how does that energize you to win elections? And in any case, is such pronouncement relevant at that point? The impression you’re creating is that your pressing need is victory and so, anybody who dies will be an energizer for you to win elections.”

He therefore want the party folks to desist from such behaviour because it offends the sensibilities of the family of the deceased.
