Thanks For Consistently Praying For Nation Prez Mahama To Aglow

The government has commended Aglow Ghana International, popularly, known as Women’s Aglow, for consistently interceding in prayers for the country.

Its intercession, the government noted, had contributed to the current peace and stability the country was enjoying.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs Elisabeth Ofosu-Adjare, made the commendation on behalf of the President, Mr John Mahama,  in Accra yesterday at the opening session of a two-day seminar being organised by Women’s Aglow.

The seminar, dubbed “The 2016 Watchmen on the Wall,” is designed to educate and provide believers with a biblical framework for understanding and accurately communicating issues regarding Israel’s past and present.

Praying and advocating for the peace of Israel, the Holy Bible has said, is a spiritual requirement for any nation to enjoy constant peace and stability

The opening session of the seminar was charaterised by intercessory prayers, singing praises to God and dancing.

“Your intercession means a lot to the government due to its impact and, therefore, no matter what, the government is always rest assured in all circumstances because Women’s Aglow is always interceding for the country,” Mrs Ofosu-Adjare said.

She also thanked Women’s Aglow for the support it had consistently given to the activities of the ministry.

Mrs Ofosu-Adjare expressed the belief that God had empowered women to contribute to national and religious development.

Watchmen for Ghana

In her opening remarks, the National President of Aglow International-Ghana, Mrs Dorothy Danso, said Women’s Aglow, a non-denominational organisation, was 50 years old and as intercessors for the country, its members were the watchmen on the wall of Ghana, as stated in the Holy Bible in the Book of Ezekiel chapter 33.

She also noted that “Isaiah chapter 62 has not been understood well by the nations of the world, intercessors and churches,” stressing that it was time for nations to raise intercessors to pray consistently for the establishment and the peace of the nation of Israel.

Mrs Danso said that was one of the hidden mysteries and that task had been relegated to the background and, therefore, the blessing of God was not being experienced in most nations.

“That is not to say that we must stop praying for our nations, but there are some supernatural blessings on nations who pray for the peace of Israel,” she said.

In her remarks, the Director of Aglow International Israel Education, Ms Sandra Wezowics, thanked President Mahama for the support the country had given to the organisation.

She said Ghana would continue to enjoy the divine blessings associated with praying for Israel, for as long as the country continued to pray for Israel.

Prayers

The National Prayer Director of Aglow International-Ghana, Mrs Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, led the participants to pray for Ghana, Israel, the Middle East and the rest of the world, as well as for Mrs Danso on the occasion of her birthday on February 15, 2016.
