Our Leaders Need Prayers - Chief Gariba

Chief Abubakar Gariba of Suhum Zongo in the Eastern Region, has said it is through prayers that the fortune of the country would change.

He called on Imams in the country to pray unceasingly for the leaders in the government.

Chief Gariba told the Ghana News Agency after the prayers at Suhum, that those elected or appointed to responsible positions, needed prayers and peace to enable them focus on the progress and development of the country.

He said the youth also have a task to forbid indecency and contribute to national development.     

The congregation joined Chief Gariba to pray for the President and his Vice, Ministers of State, Parliamentarians and the Judiciary.

Chief Gariba called on those appointed to high positions, to go on their knees, to enable Allah to shower blessings on the country.

He said traditional rulers have a role to help government to move the country forward and also uphold the peace by resolving all concerns before them.
