Amamoo Gets Milo Reprieve

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is in no rush to shut the doors of a national team call-up on William Amamoo who conceded four goals in their last match against Japan in Holland. Amamoo was a second half substitute in the match in which the Black Stars let a winning position to slip by to lose 4-3. Fans blamed the Sweden-based goalkeeper for his errors and called for his exclusion from the team ahead of next year's Nations Cup and World Cup. Amamoo admitted he had a bad day but refused to wholly accept the blame for team's self-implosion to surrender a 3-1 lead. Rajevac is unsure of the 27-year-old's future but admits he has some catching up to do. "You know it's a bitter experience for us if you consider the last five matches competitive matches we didn't concede a goal. He conceded four goals in that 45 minutes-goalkeepers are usually responsible partially for the goals they concede but you cannot only blame him," Rajevac told Ghanasoccernet com "We will see in the next period of time so we are monitoring. It's difficult now to say is he going to be invited or not and what is his future. "We are monitoring all of them and I can't tell more now."
