Parents Should Keep An Eye On Children - Aburihene

Otoobour Djan Kwasi II, Chief of Aburi in the Akuapem South Municipality has called on parents and guardians to keep an eye on their under-aged children and prevent them from attending functions that degenerate into immorality. He mentioned some of these activities as video shows, concert parties and wake-keeping that goes deep into the night. Otoobour Djan Kwasi made the call during the celebration of the annual Addae Bue festival held at Aburi on Wednesday by the chiefs and the people. He said it was time parents stop buying expensive clothing and rather use their earnings in the education of their children. He also advised the youth to always be with their books in order to acquire knowledge to be responsible leaders in future. Otoobour Djan Kwasi called on sub-chiefs in the area to contribute money to support the education of the poor and needy children in the municipality. He commended Dr Godfred Osei Bonsu Twum, Municipal Chief Executive for providing a bulldozer for the rehabilitation of roads linking Aburi to Nsawam and other parts in preparation for the Odwira festival in October.
