Itll Be Sad If Nii Noi Goes Independent..We Can't Win Without Him Addisons Aide

Norman Yemetey Tetteh, Spokesperson for Lawyer Philip Addison, now NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has noted that – it will be “sad” if defeated candidate Nii Noi Nortey goes independent in the November 7 election to contest the seat.

According to him, even though Nii Noi Nortey has not shed any thoughts on the outcome of the results – “He need a bit of time to reflect on the election and he will come on board as a true party member to join one course.”

“It will be sad if he [Nii Noi] goes independent. There is no way Philip Addison can win the Klottey Korle seat easily if Nii Noi doesn’t support him. It will worry us [Addison team] if Nii goes independent. If that happens, then we must work very hard to win the seat. But I know Nii Noi, I know he will certainly come on board,” Mr. Yemetey Tetteh said in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie'

Phillip Addison over the weekend won the Klottey Korle NPP MP seat in a keenly contested primary.

Addison polled 396 votes as against his only contender Nii Noi Nortey who came close with 367 votes out of the total valid votes of 763 – two ballots were rejected.

After Addison’s victory - pollster Ben Ephson predicted that the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency Dr. Zanetor Rawlings will have a smooth sail to parliament following the election of Philip Addison as the main opposition’s candidate for the area.

Ephson said the NPP will suffer voter apathy in the constituency as a result of how events have pan out over the months - “trust me this victory will make it easier for Zanetor to win and go to parliament come 2017 without any difficulties, provided the NDC are also able to solve their differences.

The situation is such that if the NPP is not careful many of their supporters in the constituency will not come out and vote and it will affect Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2016 election,” he said.

But Addison’s aide has rubbished Ben Ephson’s prediction - “Ben Ephson has never said anything good about the NPP so I’m not surprised, but it is so sad for him to think that way. That is his own opinion, he is just an opportunist.”

We will work hard to win the Klottey Korle seat,” Mr. Norman Yemetey Tetteh assured.
