NDC Women Call For DCEs Removal

About 60 NDC women led by the women’s organizer Madam Adiza Kotur and her Deputy Madam Iddrisu Alima stormed the Chereponi district assembly locking up all the offices including that of the District Chief Executive(DCE) Hajia Marri Nakobu, the District Chief Executive.

But for the timely intervention of some party members the women would have completely locked out the DCE.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, the NDC women Organizer, Madam Adiza Kotur said the women in Chereponi felt neglected by the DCE because ever since she came into office she has not done anything for the women though they were very instrumental in her appointment as the DCE.

“We were the same women who went through hell to make sure she was appointed as the DCE of the area but after she assumed office she started treating us as if we meant nothing to her.”

The women have therefore called on the president and the party executives to take Hajia Marri Nakobu out of office if really they want the party to win in the impending general elections in the Chereponi Electoral area.

They vowed to make life unbearable for the DCE till she was sacked from office.

Attempts to get in touch with the District Chief Executive, Hajia Marri Nakobu were unsuccessful as calls to her mobile phones indicated that the phones were switched off.
