Opoku Nti Insists Kotoko Will Win GPL Title Despite Shaky Start

General Manager of Asante Kotoko Opoku Nti is still optimistic about his side’s chances of winning the League despite their patchy start this season.
 
Kotoko who are hoping to redeem their image after missing out on both the League title and FA Cup trophy last season lost 0-2 to WAFA in their opening game of the League.

Coach David Duncan’s side are expected to record a good result against the Mauves in other to maintain their chances of winning this year’s domestic top-flight.

Opoku Nti who has already been tasked to win the League with the Club this season is unfazed by his outfit’s jerky start hence believes they will clinch the trophy.

“Losing the first game was a little by worrying, because our supporters expected more from us,” he told Peace FM.

“But we have gone to the drawing board to correct our mistakes and working ahead of the game against Medeama on Sunday.

“We must win that game, a quest to clinch the trophy is still on course even though we lost our opening game, I still believe we will win the trophy.

Sunday’s clash will also serve as a revenge for Kotoko who lost the FA Cup title after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Medeama in the finals.
