Don't Just Follow Pastors Because They Use Jesus' Name To Perform Miracles

The General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council has warned the general public not to follow some pastors blindly due to miracles they perform in the name of Jesus.

According to Apostle Yaw Samuel Antwi, the Council finds the response of Bishop Daniel Obinim to Sam Korankye Ankrah’s comment disturbing and abusive as it does not befits someone who is supposed to be a man of God.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Apostle Samuel Antwi insisted that pastors who are supposed to be followers of Jesus Christ should not utter such abusive words; indicating that the scathing insults among pastors in the media is becoming regular, hence the need to address the issue as gatekeepers of the country and Christians.

Apostle Samuel Antwi narrated that Jesus Christ who pastors and Christians look up to is humble and he thus instructed all his followers to emulate that character as Christians; Jesus Christ did not insult people as fools and stupid.

“We are therefore warning Ghanaians that, it is not all those who use the name Jesus will enter into heaven . . . the Bible says on the day of judgment, people will say they used Jesus' name to heal and cast out demons but God will reject them. So it is not everybody who uses Jesus' name to perform miracles that we must follow,” he warned.

He therefore used the opportunity to call on these few pastors who are muddying the waters to join the various religious bodies in the country to undergo proper biblical ethics as Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) sees in them the good intentions to help people to God, but hinted the approach is wrong.
