Coach Kwesi Appiah Had A Problem With Me - KP Boateng

Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has made an audacious revelation indicating former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah had issues with him which eventually accounted to his sacking from the team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Boateng together with close pal Sulley Muntari were dismissed from the team’s camp prior to the Black Stars final group match against Portugal.

The AC Milan midfielder was alleged to have verbally abused his manager at a training session by using the F-word on the Ghanaian tactician.

Muntari on the other hand was involved in a scuffle with a management committee member over an issue of bonus roar in the team’s camp.

The two however had to pay the price for series of alleged indiscipline acts at the team’s camp in Maceio after they were ejected a day before Ghana’s must win game against Portugal.

Kevin-Prince Boateng who has since not shown any remorse about his actions claims his former coach Kwesi Appiah had looked for excuses to send him away.

"I think Appiah had a problem with me and was only looking for a reason to send me away. To be honest I was thrown out," Boateng told Sky Italia.

The German-born Ghanaian in 2011 announced his retirement from the Black Stars after earning international recognition at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa where he helped the team to the quarter finals.

He however returned prior to Ghana’s qualification to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
