Parents Advised Not To Engage Children In Early Trading

Nii Diasempah I, newly installed chief of Afutu, a community near Nsawam in the Eastern Region, has advised parents to avoid engaging their children in early trading.

Rather, he said, they should enroll them in school for a better future.

Nii Diasempah gave the advice during his outdooring as Afutu Mantse by the chiefs and people of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality.

He said children of all ages must be sent to school to acquire knowledge as the basic foundation before they were made to engage in any other business.

Nii Diasempah said education was key to development and without that the quest for economic growth would become meaningless.

He assured the people that he would create an Educational Trust Fund to support brilliant but needy school children of the Afutu Community.

Nii Diasempah called on parents and guardians to make the education of their children a priority saying; “education is an unending legacy; and like our cocoa farms, we need to prone our children to grow well to yield more fruits for us.”

He advised school children to take their lessons seriously and obey their teachers’ instructions to grow to become responsible leaders in society.

He urged the teachers to lay good foundation for their pupils and show good examples for the children to emulate.
