The Police in Sunyani have mounted a search for Na Abi, an 18-year old young woman, for stabbing her playmate, Yaw Asante to death in an argument of a missing one Ghana Cedi.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah told the media in Sunyani that Abi and Asante, a 20 year old computer technician on March 11, 2016 at about 1900 hours went to spot at Sunyani Zongo.
He said Asante accused Abi of taking his one Ghana Cedi after she had put her hand into his pocket, and demanded the money by seizing one of her footwear.
ASP Tawiah said this misunderstanding was however settled by friends.
He said Abi then entered a certain house and returned with an object in her hand to stab the chest of Asante and started running away, the deceased in reaction chased the suspect but collapsed and died instantly.
ASP Tawiah said the incident was reported to the Police and they went to the crime scene to convey the body to the Sunyani Regional Hospital mortuary, pending autopsy.
