Over 18 Parliamentary Seats Are Safe For NDC In The Central Region Group

Going into the 2016 parliamentary elections an NDC group calling itself, the Young Cadres Association is poised to go down to the grassroots to ascertain the chances of NDC in the upcoming election – and to ensure a massive win for President John Mahama and members of parliament in the region.

The Chief Scribe of the group, Bright Botchway told Peacefmonline.com that – “Through our intelligence report as an association which is deep rooted with reps in all constituencies we can confidentially say the NDC will win more than 18 seats in the central region including the seats of Awutu Senya East and Effutu seats which is currently occupied by Mavis Hawa Koomson and Alex Afenyo Markins respectively as NPP parliamentary candidate due to their abysmal and low performance as members of Parliament.

According to him – the electorates in the Central Region are willing to vote massively for president Mahama to show appreciation for some developmental works in the region – “few among this numerous projects are the roads network, the first stadium in the region, Kasoa interchange, Komenda sugar factory educational infrastructure, health facilities and more”.

Bright also noted that 18 parliamentary seats will be clinched by the NDC to win majority in the august house.

On the parts of MMDCE's we are drawing the Chief of Staff's attention to alert the minister of Local Government to send monitoring teams to monitor them especially those whose term of office are not far from over to keep them on their toes and perform to the satisfaction of the people they serve and to kick out some without relying on any institution to give them report of their performance,” – the group noted in a statement.
