As part it efforts to help to reduce rural- urban migration of young women from Northern Region to the South for 'Kayayo' business ,Camfed Ghana a non - governmental organization has intervened by sending over 2000 young girls to school in the region.
This effort is also aimed at accelerating gender parity and also open to education opportunities to young women.
This will empower women to become leaders of change and also contribute to national development.
Programmes Manager, Enterprise and Leadership Development, CAMFED Mrs Millicent Kaleem reiterated the need to collectively contribute to the realization of the potentials in women.
Camfed Ghana has also recognized 7 Women who have contributed their quota women's development in terms of education in the region.
Queen mother of the Bole Traditional Area, Kemsawurche Hajia Azara Bukari received an award for her role in advocacy on maternal health.
She called on women to effect change in the rural areas by reaching out to them and educating them on leadership roles for women and intensify education on teenage pregnancy which she says will aid girls in making the choices.
