Premier Hospitals Trust Fund Launch In Limbo

Even before the whistle is blasted for the commencement of a Trust Fund project in the nation’s premier teaching hospital, Korle-Bu, senior staff of the hospital have accused the Chief Executive, Dr. Gilbert Buckle, of suffering integrity and transparency crisis, which allegedly makes him unfit to run the health facility.

According to the staff, they are not against the trust fund but are just worried over its transparency after the launch.

Already, information also indicated that the absence of transparency in operations at the hospital by management is currently preventing donors from donating for the growth of the hospital.

Staff of the hospital base on further information has on several occasions petitioned the CEO on the need to be transparent on transactions at the hospital but he (the CEO) always turn-deaf ears to their plea.

The CEO of the hospital, according to information has currently lost the morale right of demanding accountability and hard work from staff of the hospital due to his (the CEO) inability to exhibit transparency in his operations at the hospital.

However, when contacted, the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the hospital Mustapha Ahmed asked this paper to hold on with the publication of the story, saying that it would affect the launch.

He stated that the initiative by the hospital was a way of generating fund to enhance operations at the health centre and assured that details involved would be transparent.

He stated that the management at the hospital will be ready for any question involving the Trust Fund after the launch.

Meanwhile, all attempts to reach the Chief Executive to respond to the allegation proved futile. Stay tunes as we seek to interview Dr. Gilbert Buckle to bring his side of the story.
