Additions Made To Kwahu Easter

The Tourism Ministry has promised a memorable Easter celebration at Kwahu in the Eastern Region.

The Kwahu Paragliding Festival, which involves interesting activities like hiking and walk race, attracts both Ghanaians and foreigners for four days.

Speaking to Class News, Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts Minister, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, said additions had been made to this year’s celebration.

“This year, there is a live band,” she stated.

“This year, National Theatre will be here with the Ghana Dance Company and then they will be doing very exciting things.

“They will be teaching people how to dance. So, if you are from the Northern region and you don’t know how to dance your native dance, they can give you a few tutorials, so that when you go to your home festival, you will not be embarrassed.

At least, you can do a few steps…it is going to be fun. We are going to enjoy ourselves even though the title [of the festival] is paragliding, we know not everybody can paraglide.”
