Ghanaian Drivers Stranded At Burkina Border

Over hundred (100) Ghanaian truck drivers are stranded at the Burkina Faso border over a week.

This is due to the lack of chit which could permit them entry to the country with their vehicles loaded with goods.
Some worried drivers who spoke to Adom News said the development has made life unbearable for them.

The drivers say they were charged huge sums of money before they are allowed entry but authorities at the port are still denying them access.

“We are very tired and can no longer take it. Authorities at the port are really taking us for granted and making life unbearable for us. After all the monies we give them, they end up allowing the Burkina drivers entry and leaving us stranded” one driver said.

The drivers are therefore calling on government to intervene immediately.
