NDC Young Cadres Donates To Weija Leprosarium

Easter Monday at Weija Gbawe constituency saw a remarkable event when NDC’s youth wing, Young Cadres in Accra joined the parliamentary candidate of Weija Gbawe constituency, Obuobia Darko Opoku in a shakeup health walk – the group also made a donation to the Weija leprosarium.

Constituency executives’ members, party members and youth groups including ‘Doves for JM ladies’ club and Young Cadres participated in the walk which ended at George Walker Bush overpass grounds.

After the walk, the group donated items worth thousands of cedis to the Weija leprosarium – the items includes, bags of rice, cartons of milk, Milo, sugar, soft drinks and some detergents.

The donation is perhaps a memorable one when patients in the leprosarium sung the NDC anthem to show their appreciation – they however commended President John Mahama and youth wing for their support.

Leadership of the group however assured the patients that government have them at heart and will continue to help them in diverse ways.

“The NDC is very keen on helping physically challenged people and he will continue to help all of you wholeheartedly when you ones again vote for him in the coming polls” - Mr Bright Botchway, the chief scribe of the group noted
