Rihanna paid tribute on Saturday to the woman she once declared her fashion icon, the late Princess Diana.

The 28-year-old stepped out in New York City sporting a black top which featured a prominent image of the striking people's princess.

The top read Princess Of Wales and included her birth and death years, 1961-1997.
