Former Ghana Actors Guild (GAG) Prez Nii Odoi Mensah Passes Away

Information reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that Former President of the Ghana Actors Guild (GAG) Samuel Nii Odoi Mensah has died.

Last year, the veteran Actor was reported to have lost both kidneys.

In an interview in 2015, the actor called for financial assistance to support his ailing health. 

Actress Juliet Ibrahim, who runs a support foundation for kidney patients, revealed that she had been supporting Nii Odoi Mensah to deal with his kidney problems and further came out to appeal for public support.

Peacefmonline.com source confirmed that the late Actor was undergoing a kidney transplant in China but unfortunately passed away due to the medical complications.

The family was informed of his death last night at about 11pm.

Nii Odoi Mensah announced in January 2015, he was suffering from a chronic kidney failure.

He revealed he had to cough up $300 each week to stay live on dialysis.

He travelled to China for treatment at least two weeks ago but was unable raise the required $25,000 for the surgery.

Mr. Odoi Mensah was widely known on Ghanaian screens and in movie during the 90s and early 2000s.

He co-starred with seasoned actors like Brew Riverson Jr., Victor Lutterodt, Grace Nortey among others.
