If This Is Governance, Then Class One Kids Can Be Prez - Kwamena Duncan Chides Mahama

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwamena Duncan has rubbished the achievements of President John Dramani Mahama and his government.

According to Kwamena Duncan, President John Mahama has woefully failed as leader of the country and has since the inception of his administration, rolled out social interventions that have not materialized.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Kwamena Duncan was not enthused about President Mahama's assessment of the erstwhile Kufour government's achievements in the Volta Region.

He wondered why the President would downplay the works of the Kufour government, citing some developmental projects by Ex-President Kufour.

Kwamena Duncan recounted that President Kufour introduced the National Health Insurance Scheme, free maternity healthcare among others that eased the pressures on Ghanaians.

Mr. Duncan also lambasted President John Mahama for taking glory for some unfinished projects, particularly Koforidua Polytechnic.

He also decried the borrowing habits of the government, saying "if that’s all that governance is about, I am telling you even class 1 kids could be President. They could be President. Governance is not that you establish a building somewhere – Koforidua Polytechnic – they have not yet gone through its bill and then you place a signboard at Koforidua to say University of Technology. That is not governance. If that was to be governance, anybody at all could be President.”
