The Eastern region branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says President Mahama’s visit to the Eastern region has exposed what they describe as ‘lies’ by the Mahama-led government in terms of development.

According to the Communications Officer of the NPP Eastern Region, David Prah, the region has seen no development under the John Mahama administration and it is therefore curious that the president is boasting of massive developments in the region.

“The President came to our region just to disgrace himself because he realized that everything he talked about in terms of development are all lies because nothing, absolutely nothing has happened in the region.

“The region is a no-go area for the NDC and so he should not try deceiving us at all because we are tired” he noted.

The President's three-day tour of the Eastern Region is to inspect ongoing projects, commission completed projects undertaken by his administration and break grounds for the commencement of new ones.

The tour will also afford him the opportunity to interact with chiefs and community residents and account for his stewardship since he assumed office. 

David Prah in an interview accused the president of failing to construct major roads in the region and taking credit for projects he did not initiate.

He called on the people of the region to vote out the NDC and disregard their ‘lies’.
