"Terrible Propaganda" Against My Husband Sometimes Gets Me Frustrated - Mrs. Akufo-Addo

Wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has revealed that “terrible propaganda” against her husband, sometimes gets her troubled and frustrated.

Although, Mrs. Akufo-Addo, admits she gets hurt by the incessant criticisms and condemnations of her husband, she has been thought how to “take it in her stride”.

Speaking to e.tv Ghana’s Kwame Gyan on “Sate of the Nation” show about Nana Akufo-Addo’s political career, she stressed her husband’s vast political experience, would propel him to victory, despite the “terrible propaganda” being employed by his opponents.

“Nana Addo is a seasoned politician and he knows the kind of criticism comes with the territory, so he handles it very well ,and he has actually thought me as well.”

“I know at times it can be painful and very upsetting to see or to hear what people come up with about him”.

“People who hardly know him, would come out and say very nasty things about him, all because of politics and I must say, our politics is degenerating into really bad state of affairs.”

“People come up with terrible propaganda, just to win political points,” she said.
Rebecca, believes her husband, stands a good chance of winning this year’s presidential election, because the grounds are good for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

“My husband is not just a family man, he lives and sleep politics . .  that is a big thing for him. He has always cared about Ghana and has always wanted to [work] for this country”.

“After 59 years of independence, he would want to be given the opportunity to place Ghana on the right spot on the map,” she added.

She, however, decried the political environment which she believes is degenerating, as people who barely know Nana Addo say “all sorts of nasty things about him” coupled with terrible propagandas just to win political points.
