Artists are often taken for granted in the Ghanaian showbiz industry, and when they have worked hard to achieve some success, they don’t always get what is due them. Ghana-based Nigerian comedian, Hogan appears to be a victim of such a treatment, after hosting a 3-day charity event for the John Paintsil Foundation in Takoradi.

The comedian has not been paid for his services rendered at the event since December 2015. According to Hogan he was invited by a certain Kwesi to host the event for the footballer’s charity foundation. After being persuaded to beat down his price because the event was for charity, both parties settled for a fee of GhC1,000 per day, making it a total of GhC 3,000.

“After 3 days in Takoradi they came at me with the ‘it didn’t go as planned vibes’ and so they broke my fee into two.The Kwesi guy who was charge gave me a fake cheque of GhC1,500. Since December he has not said anything about my money. I spoke to John about it on Instagram and he warned me not to ever speak to him about it anymore,” Hogan lamented.

Hogan added that, according to John Paintsil, he had already settled payments for Hogan’s appearance and it appears that Kwesi has squandered the money. Hogan however feels that he is still entitled to his GhC 3000 because he had an agreement with the organisers which was breached.
