Fuel Shortage Hits Sunyani

Severe petrol shortage has rocked the Brong Ahafo Regional Capital, Sunyani for the past three days, bringing all activities to a halt. As at Saturday, there was only one fuel station in the capital, with some stock of patrol, thereby creating a scene at the station as drivers scramble for fuel. A visit to the Nkwabeng Goil Station by Daily Guide indicated a huge vehicular traffic. Drivers were however served with one gallon of patrol each to ensure that every body had a fair share. The situation was so serious that commuters travelling to other parts of the region were stranded as there were no vehicles at the lorry parks to take them to their destinations. A manager of one of the fuel stations in Sunyani, whose station was affected by the petrol shortage said, for almost a week now, we have not taken delivery of petrol. According to him, the situation if not immediately addressed, would have a dire consequence on their operations and other economic activities in the region.
