Ghana’s biggest fashion house, Chapter One Classics has outdoored the long awaited Open Heaven 2016 Collections purposed to send good will to everyone who wears the latest clothing line.
He said the Open Heaven Collection is a fashion prophecy statement he intend making for the world to know that clothes one wears has meaning because they are creations and when created should serve its purpose. In addition, he intimated that the collection is heavily inspired by reading biblical literary materials.
When asked why the collection delayed since the fashion design house promised the outdoor from January, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leslie Wiredu aka Global Champion said it has been out but was restricted to the celebrities in and out of Ghana.
Some celebrities named to have rocked the Open Heaven 2016 Collections already are dancehall mighty Samini, reigning artiste of the year Stonebwoy, the new Praye, Showbiz Morning show host Sammy Flex, TV presenter George Quaye, DJ/TV presenter Andy Dosty etc.
“It is always a great feeling to see people feel comfortable in your creation” the fashion designer joyfully enumerated when he caught up with Flex Newspaper reporter at the production house of Chapter One Classics.
The fashion house who has kept the tradition of outdooring new and refreshing collections annually gave us collections like “Evil Must Die Collections” in 2014, “Mr. Classics Collections” in the year 2015 etc.
As part of the activities in raising the fashion awareness in Ghana, Mr. Leslie Wiredu will be embarking on a fashion tour with other designers from Ghana. Designers like Abrantie, Nuna Couture, Kofi Gyedu and Black ID have confirmed their participation to help educate students (tertiary / second cycle etc) on the technicalities of fashion production.
The project is supported by Wiredu Ventures, Royal Nesta, Dominion Petroleum, Black Star Fruit Juice, Global Champion Ministries.
The Chief Executive Officer of Chapter One College of fashion, Mr. Leslie Wiredu has urged the Ghanaian government to pay attention to the fashion industry since it stands to employ more than we can imagine rather than pushing all the attention to the music and movie industry in Ghana. He also advised that industrial attachment for fashion students should be made compulsory.
