EC Logo Is A Big Disgrace . . . It Is Not Ghanaian - Nana Boakye

NPP Communicator Nana Boakye has slammed President John Dramani Mahama for asking critics of the Electoral Commission to put paid to all debates on the Commission's new logo.

President John Mahama urged electoral stakeholders and the entire nation not to abuse the EC Boss Charlotte Osei.

The President advised that debates on the new logo by the Commission should be discouraged.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Nana Boakye bemoaned the President's admonition stressing that he (President John Mahama) gives an impression that he's teaming up with the Electoral Commission to perpetuate its decisions.

To him, the President appointed the EC Boss but she is accountable to the people of Ghana and so, any decision she makes affects the nation.

Nana Boakye was of the view that the new logo by the EC is unnecessary and a "big disgrace", "it is not Ghanaian".

He also spoke against the adamant position of Madam Charlotte Osei, saying she didn't show "respect in her posturing" during the EC's meeting with stakeholders to discuss the pros and cons of having a new logo for the Commission.
