Jackson Film Tickets Sell Out

Michael Jackson's US fans have snapped up advance tickets for the documentary film This Is It in just two hours. Fans had queued for up to three days in California to make sure they got one of 3,000 tickets to the Los Angeles shows. The film is based on behind the scenes footage of Jackson's rehearsals for his 02 concert dates in London. He died three weeks before the opening night. The film will premiere in 25 cities around the world, including London, at the end of October. The London premiere will run simultaneously with events in 15 other cities including Los Angeles, New York, Berlin and Rio. It will take place at 0100 GMT Wednesday, October 28 at the Odeon Cinema Leicester Square. High School Musical director Kenny Ortega put the film together, having been musical director for the This is It Tour. He had previously worked with Jackson on his Dangerous and HIStory tours. The film has been collated from more than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage featuring the singer rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. It will open to the public from 0400 GMT on October 28 and will be in cinemas worldwide for a limited two-week run.
