Kennedy Agyapong has been one very vocal politician. The Assin North Member of Parliament, is never one to shy away from saying it as it is and darn the consequences.

An ardent party activist who wears his heart on his sleeves, he has over the years claimed there are certain individuals within the NPP, including some sitting MPs scheming the downfall of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2016 flagbearer.

The lawmaker believe those personalities are saboteurs of Nana Addo’s presidential ambition – and has cautioned them to desist from their ‘evil’ practice or face his wrath.

Although he did not pinpoint any person spearheading the agenda – outspoken Kennedy Agyapong issued a stern warning on Tuesday to his fellow policymakers to pick a cue from the incident involving Collins Owusu Amankwah, MP for Manhyia North and the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, Kennedy Agyapong was emphatic that - woe betide any member of parliament who aims to derail Nana Addo’s political ambition.

"I will support Wontumi anytime. He should have beaten him more than he did. They are always playing the fool. I really believe in him and that is the kind of Chairman that we need...If you are a sitting MP and you misbehave we will beat you. I am sick and tired of these people...Let me tell you, we will beat up any MP who fools. The slap he [Wontumi] gave the MP is good. In fact he [Collins] deserves to be beaten,” he asserted.
