NDC MP Hopeful Of Winning Asene-Manso-Akroso

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Asene-Manso-Akroso Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr Richard Roland Acquaah, has vowed to snatch the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) come November 7, 2016.

According to him, he is the most popular and most experienced parliamentary candidate currently in the constituency and nothing could be an impediment to his victory in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Mr Acquaah made the prediction when he donated 20 chokes and 20 holders worth GH¢2,200 to the people of Akyem Asene, near Oda, last weekend for their street-light project.

The Asene-Manso-Akroso Constituency, which was created in 2012, was carved out of the Oda Constituency and the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Yaw Owusu-Boateng, defeated Mr Acquaah in the maiden parliamentary election to represent the people in Parliament.

Mr Acquaah said he would have backed out if Mr Owusu-Boateng had been re-elected by the NPP to contest the parliamentary seat because he was not only a force to reckon with, but also development-oriented and had contributed immensely towards the development of the area.

He promised to undertake more development projects in the constituency when given the nod, stressing he would also complete all projects started by Mr Owusu-Boateng to raise the quality of the life of the people.
