Tension is mounting in Sayeegu and Sambiruk communities near Nankpanduri in the Northern Region,Today has gathered.
The development, according to information available to Today, follows renewed bloody clashes between Sayeegu and Sambiruk, which situation has led to death of one person with several houses being torched.
The two communities, according to reports are fighting over a parcel of land.
Northern regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ebenezer Tetteh, who confirmed the incident, said the deceased, Minkaya, passed on around 5:30 a.m., yesterday when the hostilities escalated.
It was however, unclear the circumstances surrounding his killing.
Residents were reportedly fleeing the communities out of fear for their lives.
The two communities were recently involved in a fight over a similar issue.
