Daily Guide Is A Cartoon Newspaper For Nursery Kids . . . - Sam George Jabs

Presidential Staffer and Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Ningo Prampram, Samuel George Nartey says Daily Guide is not a newspaper for media review.

According to Samuel Nartey, the Daily Guide newspaper is full of jokes as the stories they write and especially the publication about him [Sam George] is a comedy piece for kids to play with at the nursery.

He was reacting to the newspaper's Monday publication that alluded to the troubles of the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ningo-Prampram Constituency over his alleged ‘unsavoury comment’ against the Acting President of the Ningo Traditional Council, Nene Karnor Atiapah III.

According to the publication, Sam George went pleading before the chiefs with a sheep and two bottles of whisky which were rejected.

"He knelt down pleading with them for one hour and 25 minutes with two bottles of whisky in his hand....Considering his statement embarrassing, they have given him the condition to go back to the radio station where he granted that interview and insulted the Mankralo as being lawless. He should grant an interview and render an unqualified apology so that they will allow the matter to rest," the Accra daily claimed.

Reacting to the publication, Sam George described the newspaper on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show saying “this is not a newspaper for review and when you read the stories they write, you will see that they are joking. Such story about me is a cartoon for kids to play with at the nursery and not a newspaper which we have to waste time to review in the morning which demands serious business."

He however denied going to the chief’s house in that dress which Daily Guide newspaper has showed in its publication; adding that "Nene Atiapah rather poured a libation, pleading with his gods to help me win the Parliamentary seat at Ningo-Prampram in front of the six chiefs" he went there with.

He further revealed that Nene Atiapah has refuted the Daily Guyide story quoting him as insulting President Mahama and NDC that they are as sick as the ECG prepaid meters.
