Four first-year students of the Kumasi Secondary Technical School (KSTS) have been granted police enquiry bail after they were arrested for unlawful entry and offensive conduct.
The boys, all aged 16, allegedly used an uncompleted building belonging to a businesswoman at Apatrapa in the Atwima Nwabiagya District in the Ashanti Region, Naa Nartey, to practise occultism. Practice
The Station Officer of the Tanoso Police, Inspector Berko Adam, told the Daily Graphic that the boys, unknown to the property owner, had designated the facility as their meeting place where all kinds of rituals and sacrifices were performed.
He said the woman found out that feathers of fowls and parts of some animals were littered in one of the rooms where there were also bloodstains.
When Naa visited the place again, she saw the boys reciting some incantations ‘with blood all over.’
Arrest
On seeing her, the boys, with the exception of the ringleader who is believed to possess enormous powers, bolted.
However, the ringleader’s luck ran out as he was arrested by some neighbours and handed over to the Tanoso Police for investigation.
The suspect allegedly confessed that he was initiating the other three students into the act.
The three accomplices were later arrested.
According to the police, they were granted bail because they were juvenile.
