Ahead of the November 7, 2016 General Elections, the All People’s Congress (APC) per the provision of the party’s constitution has called on the general public, especially card bearing members of APC with good standing to pick the presidential nomination forms.

In a release copied to Peacefmonline.com, it has been stated that the opening of nominations for the 2016 Presidential Candidate for the All People’s Congress (APC) starts from Monday May 16, 2016 to Friday, May 20, 2016.

“All interested and eligible Party members can pick the nomination forms from the Party General Secretary at the Party Headquarters at Haatso-Westland (West Legon) between 10am-1pm each day,” the release stated.

According to the release, the cost of picking and filing of the Presidential nomination forms is GH¢ 5,000.00 and GH¢ 95,000.00 respectively. The deadline for filing the forms is Monday, 23rd May, 2016 at 6pm prompt.

It added that the vetting process of prospective Candidates will be on Wednesday, 25th May, 2016 at the Party Headquarters.

“All aspiring Candidates must qualify to contest for the position of President of the Republic of Ghana in accordance with Article 62 of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana in addition to fulfilling all relevant provisions for the election of the Presidential Candidate as enshrined in Party’s Constitution,” the release emphasised.
