Nana Addo And Bawumia Have No Message To Convince Ghanaians, Only Lies - Kofi Adams

National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has expressed worry over the style of campaign strategy being used by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo and his Running Mate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

According to him, the opposition NPP leader and his Running Mate are hell bent on using lies to convince Ghanaians to vote for them as they have no message and dazzled by the unprecedented achievements of President John Dramani Mahama in a short period in office.

He expressed this worry based on Dr. Bawumia’s assertion that President Mahama has failed to fulfill his promises to Ghanaians, and failing to alleviate the hardship in the country.

Enumerating on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Kofi Adams mentioned that Dr. Bawumia lied when he claimed that Ghana’s total debt is $37 billion dollars; thus NPP’s Vice Presidential Candidate lied again that the NDC government has diverted state funds into a private account.

“ . . we can see that he wants to use lies for power. Not long ago, Bawumia claimed Ghana’s total debt is $37 billion and when we exposed him, he said he was using some future value; how can you be calculating debt on future value? Just recently, he lied that government has diverted state funds into a private account and he has been exposed again,” he said.

On Nana Akufo-Addo, Kofi Adams insisted that he is not out of the falsehood as he has repeatedly mentioned despite the correct figure stated, that the Ridge Hospital expansion has been inflated by $140 million above its real value.

“That was not true but he has not apologised to Ghanaians for the lies. With the Presidential Dairy, Nana Addo lied that the state spent Ghc10 million to print the dairies when in actual fact we didn’t pay a dime for the printing,” he posited.

“If Akufo-Addo is going to speak, who advises him? Where does he get his information from? Or this is a deliberate attempt to lie because they know that if they speak the truth, Ghanaians won’t vote for them so they will peddle falsehood outside and create discussion in order to disgrace the party in government to Ghanaians, but that will not wash,” he asserted.
