Liars! NPP Cant Reduce Tariffs Fred Agbenyo

Government’s inauguration of a task force to audit prepaid meters has generated some cacophonies among electricity consumers and political parties.

Deputy Minister of Power, John Jinapor during the launch of the task force pledged government's commitment to resolving the problem with the prepaid meters that is causing trouble for power consumers

But the NPP has kicked against the move - its National Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku described the move as “Awam strategy” and wouldn’t be useful as purported by government as the best.

He noted that the ‘Killer tariff’ will be reduced if the NPP is voted into power in the coming election – but his comment has also been slammed by the Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Agbenyo.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', Fred Agbenyo stated categorically that – the NPP has no plans to adjust or reduce drastically tariffs.

“During their era, what did they do for the first three months? They increased petrol by 92% and a month later by 100%. The NPP doesn’t have any track record of reducing tariffs. They are liars and desperate for power. Ghanaians must think twice. The NDC government have Ghanaians at heart than the NPP,” – he told host Kwesi Aboagye.
