PPP Begins Nationwide Door-To-Door Campaign

The Progressive People’s  Party (PPP), as part of its strategy to win the mandate of the Ghanaian electorate in the forthcoming general elections, has launched a door-to-door nationwide-campaign.

The campaign was unveiled in the Odododiodoo Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, last Saturday, when the party’s leadership interacted with constituents and took the opportunity to introduce the party’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2016 polls.

The party’s parliamentary candidate is Rev. Evangelist Larbi, popularly known as ‘Stopper’.

Door-to-door

The National Chairman of the PPP, Nii Brew-Hammond, led an entourage, including the party’s parliamentary candidate to interact with the people of Odododiodoo.

They visited residents living around  Bannerman Road to Nii Kofi Akrashie Road, and finally to Bukom Square.

At all the places visited by the party leadership, the enthusiastic crowd chanted, “PPP oseyieee, yeeiyee”.

PPP best option

Mr Brew-Hammond said the PPP was  the best option for Ghanaians in the forthcoming election.

He said throughout the visit “Our teeming youth and mothers in Odododiodoo say they have been marginalised, and can no more endure the hardship in the country, hence they want change in leadership.”

According to him, the campaign strategy would be replicated in all the regions to inform the public of the party’s plans for them so they would endorse them come November 7.

He explained that in every region the party had chosen a constituency to serve as the hub in rolling out its door-to-door campaign, hence their presence at Odododiodoo.

He said the PPP’s vision for Ghana was based on job creation; preventive healthcare, incorruptible leadership, and the implementation of the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education (FCUBE).

PPP optimistic

Addressing the constituents, Rev. Evangelist Larbi said he was optimistic he would win the parliamentary seat.

Currently, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is the Member of Parliament for the  constituency.
