Residents of Assin Atonsu in the Central Region are threatening to close down a Christ Apostolic Church branch in the area because of excessive noise-making.
The residents claim the church holds service every evening till midnight making noise with their prayers amidst drumming and dancing.
Some of the livid residents who spoke to Adom News indicated that, they hardly sleep at night after a hard days work due to the noise made by the congregation.
They added that, all attempts by the Unit Committee, District Assembly and the police at Assin Atonsu to get the leadership of the church to reduce the noise has proven futile.
"The church has been served with warning letters to stop operating in the area but to no avail so we have no option than to take the law into their own hands" a resident said.
