Shutting Down Of Sugar Factory Has Written Off Mahama's Initiative - Mike Ocquaye Jnr.

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mike Oquaye Jnr has slammed President John Dramani Mahama over the commissioning of the Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central Region.

Contributing to 'kokrokoo' on Peace FM, Mike Oquaye wondered why Ghanaians would still vote for the current administration after a number of government's fiasco.

Mike Oquaye noted that the idea of reviving the Komenda Sugar Factory is laudable and so President John Mahama deserves cheers for re-commissioning the factory which was established by Ghana's First President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

But he however opined that the shutting down of the Sugar Factory has written off the President's initiative.

According to the NPP Deputy Communications Director, "if the factory has indeed shut, then we are going to condemn Komenda."

He believed the President commissioned the factory for propaganda reasons, supposedly to win the sympathy of Ghanaians in the impending November polls.

"We don't like propaganda. Don't use our job for propaganda," he cautioned President Mahama and his government.
