Nasara Wing Of NPP Wishes All Muslims A Happy Ramadan

The Nasara Wing of NPP wishes to, by this statement, extend a message of good will to all Muslims in Ghana and across the World on the occasion of the commencement of this year's Ramadan Fast.

Undoubtedly, Ramadan is a month in which Allah has admonished Muslims to get closer to Him through fasting amidst other forms of worship. As declared in Quran chapter 2:183; "Oh! You who believe fasting has been prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you may gain the consciousness of Allah". Gaining consciousness of Allah is therefore the rudimentary objective of fasting in this hallowed month.

Muslims are thus, required to eschew all that is forbidden which may vitiate our Fast. Supplications of a believer in this month are accepted by Allah with the speed of light as emphasized by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) in several hadiths. Going by this, we as  Muslims should cease this solemn opportunity to pray for prosperity, peace and stability for this country especially as the nation gears up for a crucial general election before the end of the year.

It is a no secret that overwhelming majority of Ghanaians are clamouring for  Good governance, peace and stability.

We, as Muslims should therefore remember to pray for the nation for a peaceful election and the best form of governance as we undertake this important religious milestone for a better and prosperous future.

Once again, on behalf of the NPP, the party's flag bearer, Nana Akuffo Addo and his Running Mate, Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia, we wish all Muslims Ramadan Mubarak. May Almighty Allah accept our supplications.
