Winners of Zain�Live Your Dream Promotion� Receives Prizes

Management of Zain Ghana Limited on Friday presented cash prizes to winners in the final draw of the Zain �Live Your Dream Promotion�. The winner Mr John Kojo Hamlto Biney, a 49-year-old entrepreneur received a cheque for GH�75,000 followed by Ms Miriam Essuman, Co-ordinator of Ghana Education Service, who received GH�25,000. Ms Seyram Awushie Agbemeya, a student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi who came third received GH�10,000 and 10 other winners had bonuses, USB modem, wireless router and 3.5G mobile phones. Mr Philip Sowah, Managing Director of Zain Ghana, told newsmen that the company�s objective was to empower its customers to become passionate and creative. �With the launch of the promotion we have encouraged our customers to be radiant by leading the way in imagination and vision since we now have over one million subscribers, after six months of operation in this country and determined to achieve our customer target for 2009,� he said. The three-month promotion was to reward 600 fixed and cellular pre-paid customers and empower them through the provision of funds to embark on their dream project. There were nine weekly draws, two monthly draws and a grand draw in which every top-up of two Ghana cedis and use of 50 Ghana pesewas airtime qualifies a contestant. Mr Sowah said 100 winners of the grand draw generated a database of 35 million entries and Zain in collaboration with ECOBANK Ghana would organise a financial counselling to enable winners make the best use of their monies. �We always find novel ways in rewarding our customers. The more one uses the service the brighter the person�s chance of being a winner,� he said. Mr Biney thanked the management of Zain Ghana and encouraged the public to join the Zain network to have �A Wonderful World�. Zain is a leading telecommunications operator across the Middle East and Africa providing mobile and data services to 64.7 million customers in about 24 countries. Barely seven months of its operations in Ghana, the company has had more than one million subscribers.
