Government Communicators Dont Know How To Communicate David Percy

Dr David Percy, a leading member of the defunct National Reform Party is wondering why government communicators are not using the latest IMF report to their advantage.

According to him, government communicators should have hammered on the points in the report to tell the Ghanaian populace that indeed the ruling National Democratic Congress is ruling improving the economy.

“Government communicators don’t know how to communicate” Dr Percy told Suhiyini Alhassan on Radio Gold.

International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s regional economic outlook report for 2016 among others indicated that puts Ghana’s GDP per capita in current terms in the year 2015 at US$1,340.4.This represents 5.9% increase over the 2008 figure of US$1,266.1.

Speaking to the same issue, managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr also said it is a defect for a ruling government not to take advantage of the IMF report.

"This is an election year and there is no government who will receive this report and not use them…that is why people will claim this is another propaganda…," he stated.
