NPP Should Be Happy If Indeed We're Implementing Their 'Stolen' Manifesto -Gen Mosquito

Chief Scribe of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC], Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said his party has great ideas for Ghanaians in their yet to be launched manifesto.

According to him - claims by the opposition NPP that the NDC has been ‘shoplifting’ their manifesto ideas is unfortunate and unpatriotic.

Both NDC and NPP are trapped in a manifesto standoff following claims by the opposition party that their ideologies are frequently stolen by the ruling party.

General Mosquito as affectionately called in politics satirically noted that the NPP must be excited and content that the development of the nation is being modeled around their ideas and plans - if indeed the NDC has been copying their ideas.

“If indeed there was any truth in their claim, then they should be happy. Because that means that the nation is being developed around their ideas and that should excite them,” he said.

“If their plan was to come and implement those ideas and someone has taken them and executing them, that should serve their objective and purpose; so there shouldn’t be any issue at all. But the truth is, that claim is baseless,” he added in an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM.

Asiedu Nketia however advised the NPP not to worry if their 'stolen' manifesto by the NDC will serve the people diligently.

“We in the NDC have great ideas and we don’t mind if anybody stole them. We will still launch ours and everyone will see them,” he said.
