Jon Germain Bags Another International Accolade For Ghana

All the talk and head-strong-refusal to fully acknowledge how Jon Germain put Ghana on the map in the world of RnB (and music at large) doesn’t seem to deter Mr. R’n’B from putting in the work and making more moves.

Amongst 19 artistes from USA, UK, Brazil, Ukraine and more, 2 songs from Jon Germain were nominated in the World Song Contest, which is organized in Los Angeles, California USA to find the best songs and artists in the world, introducing them to fans and music industry worldwide, through Concert, TV Broadcasting and other arms of the media.

This nomination comes a few years after one of Jon Germain’s songs was tagged amongst “worlds best love songs” by an international music Academy and a few months after celebrated American Journalist, put him side-by-side with the likes of Akon.

St. Jon Germain has done enough to be inducted in Ghanaian Music Hall of Fame, but this thought doesn’t make him slow down on the work. At the time of writing this piece, reports reaching indicated that Jon Germain was in the process of shooting the video for his latest single, which threatened to break Twitter trends when it hit the internet. “Threesome” which features Ghana Music Award’s Artiste of The Year, E. L and Dee Moneey, was critically acclaimed for the fusion of R’n’B and hip-hop to create a creamy blend.

Speaking to Jon Germain, I tried to find out how it felt leading the way for Ghanaian music on the world stage. With a humble smirk, the musician stated, “Im just that guy that God gave a talent.. Like the legendary Smokey Robinson said ” I thank God for putting the song in me” I’m just happy to do songs that touch people all over the world.”

Jon Germain hopes to release the music Video for “Threesome” early enough to pave the way for other releases this year.
