Ghanaians Talk Too Much - Kwesi Pratt

Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt has criticised a section of Ghanaians for tongue-lashing President Mahama for touring flood affected areas on a motor-bike on Sunday.

Speaking on Atinka FM Drive on Monday, the senior journalist said it was so reckless on the side of Ghanaians to throw salvos at the President over the move and that Ghanaians have the penchant for talking too much.

Mr. Pratt clarified that President had various means to tour flood-affected areas including a helicopter to get an aerial view but decided to choose a more reliable method in order to see for himself the degree of devastation.

He stressed that by visiting the sites, the President had a front-row-seat view of the extent of destruction caused and not rely on reports from Cabinet Ministers and District Chief Executives. This, Mr. Pratt said, was the best method deployed by the President.

In furtherance, the renowned Journalist opined that Ghanaians are fond of complaining too much over little and unimportant things. He maintained that it was these same Ghanaians who want politicians to visit flooded areas and assess damage to be able to find a lasting solution to the long-standing problem and now that the President has disguised himself to visit the areas, Ghanaians are accusing him.
